The Moringa Tree has been a rediscovery I am truly grateful for. I spent time working at a model sustainable village in remote Kenya and observed the leaves being used first hand to boost the immune system of the local villagers. My time spent here, empowered me to deep dive into Moringa and see why this humble drought resistant tree was being touted as the Miracle tree.
Growing up, I was someone that hardly ever paid attention to the ingredients in my products and where they came from. The more I explored the true potential of the Moringa Tree in all its entirety, the more I started to question and readdress parts of my life I had quite frankly ignored up until that point. Questions about where my purchases were sourced? Who were making my products? What was the impact on the environment? The impact of foods I put in my body and on my body?
The journey to switching over to clean products that we actually need, eating right, living sustainably are changes that are no doubt, very hard to make. But we must start somewhere, however small.
I still struggle to eat healthy foods ALL the time because I love crisps, but I am learning to start baking them on my own (sweet potato being my favorite!). I am transgressing a bit, but we really are all we have got and we owe it to ourselves to treat our body right and treat the world in which we inhabit with respect.
Why is it important to put chemical free non-toxic products on your skin? The products we use on our skin find its way to our bloodstreams. That is a fact. We need to start putting on our skin what we put in our bodies. We need to start making hard choices and whether or not you choose Moringa, remember to think sustainably for yourself and the planet.
